Northern Kentucky Young Professionals

FOCUSED ON THE FUTURE OF TALENT

Northern Kentucky Young Professionals (NKYP) is a program of the NKY Chamber that strives to create opportunities for the next generation of leaders in the region to connect with peers, enhance their professional development, and impact the community.

NKYP is part of the NKY Chamber’s focus on talent attraction and retention and is a key strategy for ensuring the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati metro region has the young professional talent needed to grow and compete at a national level.

All next generation leaders can participate in NKYP. Those who are 41 or younger and employed by a Chamber member can receive the YP rate at all Chamber and NKYP events. To sign up for these member-based, cost-saving benefits, email kfrizzell@nkychamber.com.

NKYP PROGRAMMING

Cocktails and Conversations

A free, lively and casual networking event where young professionals can connect with their peers and share resources. This ongoing event is hosted quarterly at various member businesses around the region.

Lunchtime Leader Chats

Held quarterly, this series allows young professionals to participate in meaningful discussions with influential leaders from across the region and gain insights into their career journeys while networking with peers.

NKYP Bourbon and Boards

This networking event is for young professionals interested in getting involved with local nonprofits on a deeper level. Attendees connect directly with nonprofit representatives about available leadership positions, responsibilities, and board service.

Next Generation Leader Awards (NGLA)

This celebration salutes and applauds young professionals for significant professional accomplishments, demonstrated leadership, and community impact. With a legacy spanning over a decade, the NGLAs spotlight and celebrate the next generation of leaders and the continued impact that former NGLA finalists and award recipients are making throughout the region!

NKYP Elevated Events

Join other young professionals for these annual events that are a step above, including the NKYP Holiday Party, Brews and Baseball, Cocktails and Curtain Calls, and events in conjunction with other area young professional groups.

Community Impact Partnership Project

NKYP’s Community Impact Partnership Project brings young professionals together to give back through an annual partnership with a local nonprofit. Each year, NKYP invites nonprofits to apply, reviews applications and selects one organization to support through volunteer service and projects that address its needs.

From preparing meals and collecting essential supplies to supporting community campaigns, members contribute their time, talents and resources while learning more about the issues facing Northern Kentucky. Past partners have included Ion Center, DCCH Center for Children and Families, Emergency Shelter of NKY and Welcome House.

Through hands-on service and relationship building, the Community Impact Partnership Project supports the work of local nonprofits and helps the next generation of leaders build lasting connections to the community they call home.
