Gateway Community and Technical College is seeking an exceptional individual as an instructor for its Supply Chain Management and Business programs. This position is currently a 10-month contract position and will require meetings off campus to increase program enrollment. The ideal candidate must be willing to set standards of excellence in the industry. This dynamic individual is expected to be a collaborative member with GCTC and industry partners
Responsible for teaching up to 15 credit hours, increase enrollment in the program, meet with various industry leaders and create partnerships with businesses. Prepare class syllabus to meet the student learning outcomes for courses and provide effective instruction. Attend all scheduled in-service activities, meetings, and complete all scheduled/assigned activities in support of individual faculty development plans. Create a professional learning environment and lead student recruitment and retention efforts, advising, program assessment and other duties as assigned by the Dean of Business, IT, and Professional Studies.
This position must be flexible in teaching daytime, evening, or weekend classes on any/all campuses, and through various delivery methodologies.
2 years working experience in Logistics
Associate degree in the teaching discipline, or current credential/certification, with a minimum of two (2) years work experience in the field. Current Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) and Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) certifications required.
**Applicants must have current CLA and CLT certification or be willing to acquire such certificates before July 15, 2018.
Bachelor and/or master’s degree in the teaching discipline with a minimum of two (2) years work experience in the field preferred
Previous teaching experience preferred.
