The position will facilitate recruitment events and activities that produces matriculation of Veterans, adult learners and under-represented minority students. The position will also serve as the College’s Veterans certifying official.
Responsible for providing general advising and admission services to prospective VETS students and enrolled students
Increase matriculation of students to GCTC by coordinating enrollment and recruitment events. Additionally, work with students on application, FAFSA and the enrollment process. Develop, implement and evaluate information sessions about Gateway for parents, high school personnel, and students
Coordinate with the Diversity & Inclusion Team to develop programming and recruitment efforts for underrepresented populations.
Responsible to certify student veterans properly, ensuring that their schedules match their program sheet, they're in the requisite number of credit hours, and entered correctly in the VA ONCE system.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related area
Excellent organizational skills; high attention to detail; independent; self-motivated; able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with many individuals at all levels throughout the internal college environment as well as external business and community partners, representing his/her self in a professional and courteous manner; ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally; ability to multi-task, work under deadlines, and prioritize projects to meet deadlines with high levels of efficiency and accuracy. Must have proficient computer skills in: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Masters degree or equivalent
Knowledge and experience of Veterans policies and procedures
