Anticipated start date: October 1
Developing, implementing, expanding and coordinating the college’s academic support services that includes tutoring, supplemental instruction, writing labs and math labs. Supervises tutors and supplemental instruction leaders to ensure quality of services, including looking at new and innovative ways to provide services to students. Utilizes Starfish to support academic support including scheduling and data collection. Develops and coordinates the Center for Academic Success model at Gateway that provides support for barriers to classroom success such as study skills training, Blackboard training, PeopleSoft training, time management support, and other academic skills trainings to aid students. (Position has a personnel (peer tutors) budget string that is managed each academic year.)
Develops, coordinates, and implements an intrusive case management program that supports and increases persistence of at risk students.
Coordinates marketing and communication plans for retention and academic support to bring awareness to department services.
Evaluates and assesses tutoring program effectiveness including academic support, and other services provided through the Center for Academic Success model to ensure program offerings align with the colleges SEM and retention plan efforts.
Other duties assigned including co-leading the SEM Implementation Team.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience in strategic enrollment management planning and program planning. Knowledge of retention best practices.

It is essential that the person serving in this capacity be proficient in all aspects of computer operation and software (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and database knowledge).
