Regional Youth Leadership > Students
Welcome to Regional Youth Leadership!  RYL is a program for high school juniors interested in developing their leadership skills and becoming more involved in serving their communities.  Each year, approximately 50 students from many different high schools in the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area are chosen to participate in RYL. We believe students like you represent our community’s most important resource, our future leaders!

We are committed to helping you discover your leadership strengths and your sense of personal vision and influence.  We will expose you to the issues and challenges facing the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati region while you problem-solve and build relationships with a diverse group of young leaders.

As an RYL participant, you will attend one session per month for seven months. Sessions are held during the school day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at various venues throughout the greater Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area. Community leaders and decision-makers plan and conduct these interactive sessions which involve topics such a diversity, health, money, local government, economic development, criminal justice, law, and arts. You will also spend the day with your classmates at a retreat at Camp Joy and participate in several community service projects throughout the year.  The program runs from September through March. Participating in RYL will present you with new challenges and opportunities for intellectual, creative, social, and personal growth.
