  • Educational Articles – This committee will focus their efforts on the creation of educational articles on wellness to be published each month in the Chamber Journal.
  • Resource Library – This committee will focus on the development and maintenance of a resource center within the Chamber’s website. This resource library will be a clearinghouse of articles and website links helpful to the employer regarding Workplace Wellness Programs.
  • Seminar Development – This committee will focus on the coordination of seminars around the wellness topic.  They will be responsible to identify a topic and secure speakers for the programs.
  • Benchmarking – This committee will look both locally and nationally at what is being done regarding Workplace Wellness Programs and try to identify “Best Practices.”

This is one of four committees within the Health Initiative Council started in 2008 to address the growing concerns related to health care by the member employers. The committee includes representatives from the business community like you, brokers, health and wellness experts and vendors. The committee members and others will work with employers to assist in raising the awareness about wellness as well as provide education and resources regarding workplace wellness and how to live healthier lifestyles.

Committee Goals

  • Create an event series to educate members about the value of wellness in the workplace featuring multiple chamber members
  • Develop resource materials for members to use (i.e. tips on motivating associates, healthy bulletins to distribute to members)
  • Launch a member discount benefit using chamber members who offer wellness services (flu shots, gym memberships, equipment)
  • Partner with other community organizations to develop a Healthy Northern Kentucky campaign.
