International Business

Northern Kentucky generates 25 percent of the State's exports. According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, in 2008 Kentucky's exports totaled more than $19B with Canada, France and Mexico as our main trade partners.

The Chamber strives to strengthen and increase International business opportunities for its members through its services and programs designed to help business owners and entrepreneurs identify new market opportunities, build global networks and deal with international trade matters.

Northern Kentucky International Trade Association (NKITA)
The Chamber’s premiere trade association, NKITA is committed to enhancing economic opportunities for those members who are currently or want to be involved in international trade. The association connects members with global businesses and networking opportunities through programs, trade education seminars and special events – including the planning of several international trade visits and trade missions. To receive notification of seminars and events related to international trade, visit the NKITA Blog.

Self-Certification of Export Documents Program
If your company exports U.S. manufactured goods, you may qualify for the Chamber's Self-Certification of Export Documents Program. Every foreign country verifies the origin of a product to establish a specific duty. To validate the U.S. origin of your merchandise you must have your export documentation validated by a U.S. Chamber of Commerce. You can either come to the Chamber and have your export documents sealed, or you can join the Chamber's Self-Certification of Export Documents Program. By joining the program, you can lease the Chamber Seal for a year and validate your export documents as many time as necessary without having to come to the Chamber.
