BOONE COUNTY CASA

Boone County CASA is a non-profit organization that was established in 1991. Our mission is to provide specially trained community volunteers to advocate for the best interest of abused, neglected or dependent children in Boone County Family Court.  Our ultimate goal is to assure that each child has a safe and permanent home. Once appointed by the Boone County Family Court Judge, the volunteer makes an independent evaluation of what is in the child’s best interest both -immediate and in the long run, attending court hearings, and monitoring the case until a permanent plan is approved by the court.

EMERGENCY COLD SHELTER

Our mission is simple - to provide a safe environment for individuals seeking shelter from the cold and to link those individuals with community agencies for additional services. The shelter does not duplicate services already offered by other organizations. We continually partner with other organizations and refer our guests to them for services we do not provide. For more information please check out our Facebook group and our blog: http://nkycoldshelter.blogspot.com/

NEW PERCEPTIONS

New Perceptions is a non-profit agency that serves infants, toddlers, and adults with developmental and physical disabilities. NORTHERN KENTUCKY CHILDREN’S ADVOCACY CENTER

The Northern Kentucky Children's Advocacy Center provides a coordinated, multi-disciplinary response for children who have suffered sexual abuse, physical abuse or who have witnessed violence. The Center serves children from an eight-county region. Its services focus on the child in a child-friendly, welcoming environment so these children  are protected and they and non-offending adults who care for them can begin the process of healing. The Center also provides educational programs for community professionals who also serve these children and offers prevention-oriented programs for the organizations in the community

PARISH KITCHEN

Parish Kitchen has served a full, free meal to anyone who comes to our door for over 36 years.  Located in downtown Covington , we are supported almost entirely by free will, private donations from churches, organizations, businesses and individuals.  In addition to 3 full time and 2 part time staff, we have 350 volunteers who help by serving, cooking, cleaning, baking, picking up desserts and doing maintenance for us. Five words describe who we are and what we do - dignity, respect, attention, affection and hospitality.  We can only manage this through the generosity and support of this community.

STEINFORD TOY FOUNDATION

"Providing Christmas to Northern Kentucky children." This has been the work of the Steinford Toy Foundation for nearly 70 years. Starting with one caring couple providing toys to neighborhood kids during the depression, the program has grown to include over 150 volunteers serving nearly 3,000 Northern Kentucky kids annually. The program's mission is accomplished through the generosity of private donors, corporate support and a few dedicated volunteers. Nearly 100 percent of the program funding received supports the acquisition and distribution of toys for the kids. The Steinford Foundation wants all kids to experience the excitement, joy and warmth of the Christmas season.
