Featured Speaker: Jerry Abramson, Mayor of Louisville

Created in 2003, the Louisville Metro Government took a regional approach to unifying city and county governments into a more effective system. As a result, the merger saved Louisville and Jefferson counties an estimated $3.6 million annually in operating costs alone. Jerry Abramson, mayor of Louisville, will discuss how their approach worked at Government Forum, Fri. Nov. 6, 11:30 – 1:30 p.m. at the Metropolitan Club.

Abramson was elected the first Mayor of Louisville Metro in November 2002 with nearly 74 percent of the vote. Since then, Louisville residents have overwhelmingly elected him as Mayor of Louisville, earning him the nickname "Mayor for Life" and the distinction of being the longest serving mayor in the city's 231 year history.

Cost: $25 pre registered Chamber Member; $30 at the door; $35 Future Member
